Co-Founder, Coach

Samantha Lindsay (Potoczak)

Samantha (Sam), co-founder of Soccer Evolution Analytics has illustrious playing, coaching and professional soccer experience which has been instrumental in developing the unique service offering of SEA. 

As a division 1 player at Lafayette College, she was a four- year starter and senior captain. While in the program, Sam received several academic and athletic awards including the James F. Bryant Award which is given to one junior athlete who meets standards of excellence by demonstrating high academic achievement, lettering in a varsity sport, and showing noticeable and noteworthy evidence of community service. In addition, she was one of 3 female athletes and 6 athletes in total nominated for the distinguished 1913 Trophy which is presented to those who have attained the greatest distinction both as an athlete and a scholar. Sam has coached successfully both men’s and women’s soccer. Starting out as the Assistant Coach for the Shaker Heights boys’ soccer team, she is now in her second year as the Head Coach for the Shaker Heights girls’ program. In her first year with the Shaker boy’s, she was nominated for Ohio Assistant Coach of the year. Sam is also an elite coach and director for Ohio Premier Football Club. At the club she is the Director of Girls Programming and coaches several teams including the U10, U14, U15, and U16 girls.

Professionally, Sam has several years of experience in the sports industry. She worked for Major League Soccer (MLS) as a Data Analyst assigned to monitoring the statistics footage for the Columbus Crew, New England Revolution and the Houston Dynamo. Sam later transitioned her success working for the MLS to a position on the production team at ESPN FC, analyzing game footage and performing video content editing on a global scale. Additionally, throughout her career, Sam has had the opportunity to work closely with professional athletes across several sports and in multiple capacities from public relations to event production. Sam holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Lafayette College in Media Studies.

Co-Founder, Coach

Scott Lindsay

Scott has combined his professional career in developing product standards and his passion for the sport of soccer to co-found the company Soccer Evolution Analytics. 

Scott has worked with some of the world’s most prestigious academic institutions (Stanford, MIT, University of Toronto, Cambridge University) and multinational corporations (Mercedes, GM, FORD, Lafarge, Michelin, Tesla, Panasonic, GE) to develop safety and performance standards. He has published over 35 standards for innovative products ranging from vehicle hydrogen cylinder safety testing and calculating embodied carbon within concrete to tire efficiency testing. Scott’s first passion is playing and coaching the sport of soccer.  He has a unique multicultural soccer playing experience having played the game in the United Kingdom, France, Poland, Romania, New Zealand, China and the United States. At the youth level, Scott was invited to be part of the professional academies of FC Racing Colmar (France) and the TS Wisla Krakow (Poland). He’s had the opportunity to learn the game from former professional players and coaches representing clubs such as Boca Juniors, Reading FC, Manchester United, New England Revolution and the Columbus Crew. Scott’s coaching career started in Eastern Pennsylvania where he coached Northampton High School, Lafayette College Men’s Club Team, ENCO United, Lehigh Valley Magic, and FC Lehigh (US Soccer Development Academy). After moving to Cleveland, Ohio Scott started coaching at Copley High School. He is now the Head Boy’s Coach at Shaker Heights High School. In his 4 years as the Head Coach, he has been name Lake Erie League Coach of the Year, and has brought the team to the #84 high school boys team in the nation. In the 2022/2023 season he lead the team to a District Final appearance. In his current season, the boys hold a record of 11-1-1 with their only loss being to the #1 team in the state of Ohio. In addition to the Shaker Program, Scott is also the President of Ohio Premier Football Club. He runs the organization and coaches several teams including the U11, U13, U15, and U18 boys. Scott has an Engineering Degree from Lafayette College, holds a Masters from Lehigh University and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt. Scott is also fluent in French and Mandarin.
